The mutation corresponds to residue 97 in the NM_053077 mRNA sequence in exon 1 of 7 total exons. The mutation results in a methionine (M) to leucine (L) substitution at residue 1. The next putative start codon (M) occurs at amino 37. It is unknown the effect of the draco2 mutation on mRNA and protein expression. (J:212066)
