Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Not Applicable)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA triple polyadenylation sequence and neomycin resistance cassette were inserted into the 3' end upstream of the Ube3a antisense transcript (chr7:66573289 NCBI37/mm9). The selection cassette is in the opposite orientation. qPCR confirmed the absence of transcript beyond the insertion site expression and unsilenced Ube3a transcript expression when the allele is inherited paternally. Maternal transcript expression is not affected. (J:207499)
