Mutation details: A loxP site was inserted upstream of the 391 bp conserved noncoding sequence located 22 kb upstream and regulating expression of Ifng (CNS-22). An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of the sequence. Cre-mediated recombination removed the regulatory sequence.
