Mutation details: Two transgenic constructs were coinjected. The first construct has the CAG promoter fused to a mitochondrial import sequence (Atp5g1) driving expression of RFP (DsRed2). The second construct has the acrosin promoter with a proacrosin signal sequence driving expression of GFP. The sperm head is green prior to the acrosome reaction, after acrosome reaction GFP expression is lost. RFP expression is seen in the mitochondria in the midpiece of the sperm.
