Mutation details: The transgenic construct includes an EFGP translation initiation codon, signal peptide and human SQSTM1 (p62) with a P392L substitution, translation initiation codon, signal peptide, termination codon and polyA tail. The 97 kD fusion protein is under the control of the Thy1.2 promoter. Expression is detected mainly in the hippocampal region of the brain and to a lesser extent in the brain stem, striatum, and cortex.
