Linkage analysis was performed on 309 (172 males; 137 females) (129S6/SvEvTac-Apoe^tm4Mae x D2.129P2(B6)-Apoe^tm1Unc/J)F2 intercross mice using 170 SNP markers to identify QTL associated with plasma triglyceride level.

QTL Tgl2 maps to 54-100 Mb (27-47 cM) on Chromosome 6 with a peak LOD score of 9.6 at 88 Mb (39 cM) in linkage with plasma triglyceride level. D2.129P2(B6)-Apoe alleles confer increased plasma triglyceride levels.
