Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Humanized sequence, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Cyp17a1-NGF)2456Oje expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe human NGF gene is targeted to thecal-interstitial cells by the mouse 17alpha-hydroxylase promoter. RNase protection assays confirmed ovarian mRNA expression and to a much lesser extent, expression in the adrenal gland, in the kidney and the liver. Two lines, 2380 and 2456, were generated and exhibited similar phenotypes. Line 2456 was studied further. (J:158186)
