Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:157016Inbred mouse strains differ in carcinogen induced colorectal cancer. The authors identified a gene responsible for the genetic control of colorectal cancer in resistant C57BL/6J mice and susceptible A/J mice. 35 reciprocal AcB/BcA recombinant strains (RCS) were informative in mapping the resistant/ susceptible locus In the AcB/BcA RCS 625 markers were analyzed. The authors provide data showing a colorectal cancer locus Ccc3 mapping with loci in mouse Chromosome 3. Ccs3 mapped between D3Mit254 (132.0 Mb) and D3Mit292. Within the interval there are a number of positional candidates including Bcl10, Rap1gds, Gbp2 and Gbp3. |
