Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:9343

Measurement of Ril1 mediated radiation-induced leukemia susceptibility in congenic strains demonstrated that Ril1 is on Chromosome 15. Evidence from congenic strain pairs included high susceptibility in B6.C-H30c and lower susceptibility in C57BL/6JBy,suggesting linkage of Ril1 and H30 and high susceptibility in C3H.B6-Ly-6b and lower susceptibility in C3H/HeJ suggesting linkage of Ril1 and Ly6.

10.19.2015 Curator Note: Because Ril1 was originally mapped in J:6610,in 1981 to Chr 2 using an (A/J x C57BL/10ScSn)F2 intercross, we consider the congenics used here to be mapping unique QTL. We have labeled the QTL identified using the B6.C-H30c congenics as Ril5; and the QTL identified using the C3H.B6-Ly-6b congenics as Ril6.
