Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA targeting vector was designed to insert a loxP site upstream of exon 10, an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) and zeocin (Zeo) resistance cassette, followed by a second loxP site downstream of exon 13. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed cassette. Immunoblot analysis of brain samples demonstrated the absence of protein, (J:128914)

Notes
The prinicpal investigator has confirmed the that the original construct included loxP sites flanking exons 10-13 and an FRT-flanked neo/zeo cassette. Cre-mediated recombination removed exons 10-13.
