Notes |
Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:106112Linkage analysis was performed on 209 (AKR.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Bres x D2.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Bres)F2 intercross mice (95 female, 114 male) using 1967 markers to identify QTL associated with percent eosinophils as measured by complete bood count. The cross was generated with the intent to identify QTL related to atherosclerosis. Parental strains AKR/J and DBA/2J are atherosclerosis resistant and sensitive, respectively. QTL Eosn1 maps to Chromosome 7 with a peak LOD score of 3.21 at marker rs4226520 (23 Mb) in linkage with eosinophil percentage via CBC. AKR/J alleles confer increased susceptibility to percent eosinophils at the Eosn1 locus. Eosn1 is a female-specific QTL. Genetic mapping was performed relative to NCBI mouse genome build 34.QTL Eosn3 also maps to Chromosome 7, with a peak LOD score of 4.46 at marker rs4226520 (23 Mb) in linkage with eosinophil percentage via CBC. AKR/J alleles confer increased susceptibility to percent eosinophils at the Eosn2 locus. Genetic mapping was performed relative to NCBI mouse genome build 34 and sex was used as an interactive covariate. |
