Mutation details: The KOMP targeting vector PG00184_Z_8_C04 inserted an FRT site, lacZ reporter gene, loxP site, neomycin resistance cassette, FRT site and loxP site upstream of exon 7 and a third loxP site downstream of exon 9. Flp-mediated recombination removed the reporter gene and selection cassette. Cre-mediated recombination removed exons 7 through 9. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in E10.5 embryos.
