Allele Type: Targeted (Modified isoform(s)) Mutations: Insertion, Nucleotide substitutions Mutation details: The I isoform-specific translation initiation site in exon 2 was replaced with a stop codon (TGA) and a floxed neomycin resistance cassette inserted downstream of exon 2. Cre-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette. RT-PCR analysis confirmed that total and variant transcript expression levels are restored in calvarial cells from E18.5 homozygous mutant mice. (J:223410)
