Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:29849By quantitative trait mapping using MAPMAKER/QTL the authors reported that regions on mouse Chromosome X were significantly associated with adult body weight in mice. Three loci, Bw1, Bw2 and Bw3 were mapped using two crosses. In the first cross ((C3H/He x M. spretus))F1 females were mated to C57BL/6J males. In the first cross Bw1 mapped to a region defined proximally by DXMit57 and distally by DXMit48 and Bw2 by DXMit109 and DXMit16. In the second cross ((A/J x M. spretus))F1 females were mated to C57BL/6J males. In this second cross Bw1 was mapped to a region defined proximally by DXNds1, Bw2 by DXMit60 and DXMit16 and Bw3 by DXMit3 and DXMit12.01.07.2015 Curator Note: Because Bw1 and Bw2 were originally mapped here in the first cross, which differs from the second cross, we consider the second cross a separate mapping experiment and have named the QTL identified as Bw33 (defined proximally by DXNds1) and Bw34 (defined by DXMit60 and DXMit16), respectively. |
