Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:153583The cross used here was similar to that described in J:70033 Manolakou K, Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A 2001 Jun 19;98(13):7402-7 with the exception that 28 pairs of Northport (HS) mice were used. The authors used this cross in a genome scan to refine the mapping of mouse Chromosome 15. QTL Pitm4 was previously mapped in J:70033. The peak linkage of Pitm4 was refined to a 1.2 cM region between D15Mit241 and D15Mit134 or 3.4 Mbs. Based on SNP analysis authors suggest that Cpne8 is the most promising candidate gene underlying QTL Pitm4. 04.30.2015 - Curators Note: Because Pitm4 was originally mapped in J:70033 using 4 backcrosses with C57BL/FaDk and RIII/FaDk mice, a mapping population that differs from the HS mice used here, we consider the current study a separate mapping experiment and have named this QTL Pitm5. |
