Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Transposon induced (Hypomorph)
Mutation:    Transposon insertion

Mutation detailsThe transposon containing an unspecified hybrid actin promoter driving expression of red fluorescent protein (RFP) flanked by piggyBac-specific left and right terminal sequences was co-injected with a piggyBac-containing transgene to mobilize the transposon. Line 1 contains a transposon inserted in the non-coding region of the first exon of the gene. The allele is a hypomorph, with expression in heart of 3 week old homozygous mutant animals less than 5% and 10% of controls in males and females, respectively. (J:123680, J:233669)
