Transgene
origin
Strain of Origin:  (CBA x C57BL/6J)F1
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Dclk1-cre/ERT2)#Tcw expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsUsing recombineering methods, the CreTM-FrtNeoFrt cassette was inserted upstream of the ATG codon in exon 2 of the Dclk1 gene in the mouse BAC clone RP23-283D6. The modified BAC construct was injected into fertilized CBA x C57BL/6J oocytes. Four founders positive for the transgene were obtained and backcrossed to C57BL/6J mice. The pound symbol (#) is used when no line is specified and/or lines are pooled. (J:209426)
