The Syt9 cDNA incorporated in the allele (intended to function as a conditional knock-in) is non-functional. Flp-mediated recombination excised the region between the two FRT2 sites, leaving a loxP1 site in intron 1 and the following in intron 2: loxP5171-inverted FRT1-loxP1-FRT2. (J:243718)
