Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation details230 bp including exon 1 were replaced with a tau-GFP-pA cassette and self-excising ACNF neo selectable marker cassette, resulting in a null allele with GFP reporter. Immunohistochemistry of homozygotes with an antibody recognizing an epitope encoded by exons 3 and 4 failed to detect staining in the vomeronasal organ, proving this a null allele. (J:262032)
