Mutation detailsThe L1L2_Bact_P cassette was inserted at position 94691494 of Chromosome 9 upstream of the exon 5 (Build GRCm39). The cassette is composed of an FRT site followed by a lacZ sequence and a loxP site. This first loxP site is followed by a neomycin resistance gene under the control of the human beta-actin promoter, an SV40 polyA cassette, a second FRT site and a second loxP site. A third loxP site is inserted downstream of exon 5 at position 94692377. Exon 5 is thus flanked by loxP sites. Flp mediated recombination created a "conditional ready" (floxed) allele. Subsequent cre expression created a knockout mouse.
