• Mutation details: The Syrian hamster prion protein promoter drives the expression the guinea pig prion protein open reading frame cDNA in the brain (cos.Tet vector was used to generate the transagene). Three lines, 23441, 23447, and 23454 were generated. This line expresses the protein at approximately 2.5-fold the levels in wild-type mice and are estimated to overexpress at approximately 3-fold the level found in guinea pigs. (J:236012)
