Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Slc6a4-cre)#Ito expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsTg construct was created by modifying the RP23-39F11 mouse BAC clone to insert the nuclear localization signal (NLS) Cre-pA cassette and FRT-Amp-FRT sequence into the translational initiation site of the Slc6a4 gene. The Amp sequence in the obtained BAC construct was removed by flp/FRT recombination in bacteria. The Tg founder mice were generated by microinjection of linearized constructs into C57BL/6 fertilized eggs. At least six lines were generated and two lines (208 and 810) were identified with similar expression patterns. The pound symbol (#) is used when no line is specified and/or lines are pooled.
