Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:281818
Parent Cell Line:  R1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl+
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, Hypomorph, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 4. A floxed cassette with a splice acceptor, IRES, and GFP reporter gene were inserted downstream of exon 4. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette previously located within the reporter cassette. Immunohistochemistry confirms the reduction in transcript expression in ARC neurons. (J:281818, J:277600)
