Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe last three exons, 6-8, were replaced with the following: a loxP site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette, exon 8 splice acceptor sequence, IRES sequence, and the lacZ reporter gene. This creates a reporter-knockout allele. The neo cassette was removed through cre-mediated recombination. Lack of mRNA and protein expression from this allele was confirmed. (J:295208)
