Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA knockout-first allele was created by the insertion of the following elements into intron 2: an FRT site, splice acceptor sequence , IRES sequence, the lacZ gene, a loxP site a neomycin resistance gene, poly(A) signal sequence, a second FRT site and a second loxP site. A third loxP site was inserted into intron 4. This conditional ready allele was created through removal of the lacZ and neo cassettes by subsequent flp-mediated recombination, leaving exons 3 and 4 floxed. (J:291983)
