Mutation detailsThe targeted locus contains a PGK-neo cassette flanked by two FRT sites and two LoxP sites at the limits of the region to be excised. The region to be deleted contains the first exon and its upstream region. The first exon and the PGK-neo cassette were removed by crossing with general deleter Cre mice. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in brain lysates from newborn homozygous mutant mice. (J:272122)
