Mutation details: The targeting construct is designed to insert a loxP site, followed by a FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette, in opposite orientation to the gene, upstream of exon 3. A second loxP site was inserted just downstream of the coding region in exon 5. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette.
