Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Fgf1-RFP,-cre/ERT2)13AChiu expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe 131.5 kb transgene consists of an RFP-IRES-CreERT2polyA expression cassette inserted into a mouse bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) clone RP23-193N23 including Fgf1 5' UTR (127.7 kb), exon 1A, and 1B sequence containing the promoter for alternatively spliced to the first protein-coding exon 1A isoform predominantly expressed in the heart. Three founders 13A, 22A, and 25A were confirmed. Line #13A with the highest expression of Cre recombinase in the heart was chosen for all the following studies. (J:323281)
