Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:345308
Parent Cell Line:  Bruce 4 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  B6.Cg-Thy1a
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA loxP site and FRT flanked neo cassette were inserted upstream of exon 3 and a loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 5 via homologous recombination. Recombinase mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and exons 3 - 5. Quantitative RT-PCR confirmed the absence of RNA in homozygous embryos. (J:345308)
