Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Endonuclease-mediated (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsCRISPR/Cas9 technology inserted an in-frame EGFP, a stop codon, and SV40 poly-A-signal in exon 3 at genomic position 109,083,675 (GRCm39). The insertion of a premature stop codon in frame of the exon encoding Bbox generates a loss-of-function allele. Western blot analysis confirmed absence of protein in testis of homozygotes. No EGFP expression is detected in adult testicular cells, indicating that the EGFP mRNA is not translated. (J:349240)
