Strain of Origin:  ICR
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Endonuclease-mediated (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsCRISPR/Cas9 technology generated a 188 bp deletion that deleted the region encoding a part of RNA-recognition motifs 1 and 2, which is involved in binding to poly(A) and EIF4G, and resulted in a premature termination codon due to a frame-shift mutation. Immunoblot analysis of testicular extracts confirmed absence of protein in homozygotes. (J:350818)
