• Mutation details: CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technology was used to generate a 19bp deletion in the genomic region corresponding to the PBC domain in exon 4. The 19-bp deletion is located in the predicted coding region of mRNA transcript 1 but not in the shorter transcript 2 and is expected to result in a frameshift and premature termination of translation. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in testicular lysates from homozygous mutant males. (J:349843)
