Mutation details: CRISPR/cas9 mediated recombination created an R96G mutation resulting in expression of a prolyl isomerase dead version of the protein. Homozygous mice show significantly reduced prolyl isomerase activity and reduced levels of the mutant protein in the mitochondria.
