endocrine/exocrine glands
• 18% of tubules were atrophic, corresponding with a 12 fold increase in atrophy
• although males are fertile, a 25% weight reduction was observed in mice at 110 and 120 days of age relative to age matched control mice

reproductive system
• 18% of tubules were atrophic, corresponding with a 12 fold increase in atrophy
• although males are fertile, a 25% weight reduction was observed in mice at 110 and 120 days of age relative to age matched control mice
• 16% reduction in formation of preloptotene spermatocytes in non-atrophic tubules
• 25% reduction of complete differentiation of preloptotene spermatocytes into pachytene spermatocytes in non-atrophic tubules

mortality/aging
• incomplete penetrance; viability up to weaning age of furless mice is considerably reduced, but survivors are fertile; heterozygotes have normal reproductive fitness and radiation sensitivity

integument
• age of onset is 19 days, beginning at the head and progressing toward the tail region of the back
• a new coat starts to grow at age 28 - 30 days
• mature homozygous mice are always partially devoid of hair
• vibrissae fail to penetrate the epidermis at 2 days after birth
