• reduced in number but significant numbers of single positive T-cells expressing low levels of CD5 and barely detectable levels of CD3 epsilon and TCR beta are found in lymph nodes present never the less
• deficient in both single positive thymocyte types
• can be stimulated to produce large quantities of interferon gamma
• can be induced to produce Il2

• retinal projections to the ipsilateral superior colliculus occasionally found
