N normal phenotype
mortality/aging
• slightly less than the expected number of heterozygous mutant females are detected at weaning, suggesting possible prenatal loss (J:13961)
• 23% of heterozygous mutant females die in utero (J:46359)

growth/size/body
• at birth, heterozygous mutant females weigh 91.7 +/- 2.8% of wild-type controls
• at weaning, heterozygous mutant females weigh 95.4 +/- 2.4% of wild-type controls

integument
• heterozygous mutant females exhibit a very fine striping, that is often seen only on the dorsal body area and can be difficult to detect (J:13961)
• heterozygous mutant females are first recognized at 8-10 days postnatally by the presence of dark fine stripes on the coat (J:46359)
• however, no gross abnormalities are observed in dorsal skin or hair of whole body sections and other tissues appear histologicallly normal (J:46359)

• hemizygous mutant males die prior to birth
• hemizygous mutant males die at approximately E10.5-E11.5

embryo
• by E10.5, all hemizygous mutant embryos are significantly smaller than wild-type embryos
• however, no significant differences are noted at E9.5
