• motor learning performance is impaired on the accelerating rotarod test; mutant mice perform similarly to controls in the first two training sessions, but do not improve from trial 2 to 3 as do control mice
• mutant mice perform similar to controls in coordination, strength and balance tests such as vertical pole and hanging wire test
