• greater than 5-fold reduction in the number of apoptotic cells in skin 24 hours after UV irradiation, however epidermal terminal differentiation and development are normal
abnormal keratinocyte physiology ( J:65162 )
• enhanced cell survival of keratinocytes treated with a chemotherapy-induced apoptotic stimulus, however rate of wound repair and keratinocyte proliferation are normal
