• C7 ribs fully formed in 5 of 72 mice
• dorsal part of C7 rib often fused to first thoracic rib but separates ventrally
• C7 rib transformations usually asymetric
• rarely heads on cervical ribs

• T1 with prominent processus spinosus (T2 characteristic) when C7 rib development is strong
• rare instances when T1 has a processus spinosus but T2 does not
|
• C7 normal with the exception of rib development
