• retarded outgrowth of spinal nerves at embryonic day E12
• delayed generation of neurons in more superficial layers of central nervous system
• neurite lengths in culture shorter than normal
• microtubules of neurons more dispersed with less tendancy to form bundles
• spacing between microtubules is reduced
