adipose tissue
• adult males exhibit increased levels of adiposity
• white adipose tissue (WAT) mRNA levels of leptin are significantly increased in fasted peripubertal males
• WAT mRNA levels of TNF-alpha are significantly increased in nonfasted adult, but not in peripubertal, males

reproductive system

• adult males exhibit no differences in total sperm count per epididymis and sperm motility relative to controls; testicular histology is grossly normal at P30 and no defects in spermatogenesis are observed in adult testes
• female mice are fertile
• anogenital distance is significantly reduced at P23 and remains shorter than in controls at P31
• testis weight is significantly reduced at P30
• however, testis weight is normal in adult males
• mRNA levels of leptin are significantly increased in peripubertal and adult testes
