• pressor responses to phenylephrine and norepinephrine are decreased by 30-40%
• pressor response of isolated perfused mesenteric arterial beds to phenylephrine is significantly attenutated
• maintain significantly lower basal systolic blood pressure, however show no change in heart rate or cardiac function
• modest hypotension under unanesthetized conditions

• in the Y-maze task requiring working memory or attention, mice display impaired spontaneous alternation performance, however show normal spatial learning
• tend to show lower levels of acoustic startle responses than wild-type at lower pulse intensities, however the acoustic prepulse inhibition is not impaired
• exhibit better motor coordination a the highest rotating speed of the rotarod, however locomotor activity and swimming ability in the water maze are normal

muscle
• exhibit stronger muscle tone in the traction meter test

nervous system
• MK-801, an NMDA receptor antagonist, fails to produce acoustic prepulse inhibition deficits as in wild-type, however under basal conditions, acoustic prepulse inhibition is not impaired
