homeostasis/metabolism
• following reperfusion 15 minutes or 24 hours after renal ischemia induced by CCPA (2-chloro-N6-cyclopentyl-adenosine), mice fail to exhibit a reduction in serum creatinine levels unlike in similarly treated wild-type mice

• following reperfusion after renal ischemia induced by CCPA, mice exhibit increased neutrophil infiltration into the kidney compared with similarly treated wild-type mice

renal/urinary system
N
• homozygotes are viable, fertile and overtly normal with no apparent defects in renal histology
• no significant changes in mean glomerular filtration rate (GFR) are noted during a 45-min observation period relative to wild-type controls
• unlike in wild-type mice, TGF responses to an increase in loop of Henle flow rate from 0 to 30 nl/min, either determined as change of stop flow pressure or early proximal flow rate, are completely absent indicating that vasoconstriction resulting from an increase in macula densa NaCl concentration is abolished

homeostasis/metabolism
N
• homozygotes have normal plasma Na, K, Cl, creatinine, urea, and glucose concentrations relative to wild-type and heterozygous controls
• homozygotes show normal urine concentrations of Na, K and Cl as well as normal urine osmolarity and urine flow relative to wild-type controls

cardiovascular system
N
• homozygotes display normal systolic arterial blood pressure and heart rates relative to wild-type controls
