endocrine/exocrine glands
• 12 of 21 mice show dysplastic changes in the pancreas after 1 year of age
• two types of dysplastic changes are seen: highly proliferating tubular complexes and large cystic changes
• decrease in acinar cell height starting at P14
• 4 of 21 mice develop malignant pancreatic tumors which are multicentric and originate from dysplastic tubular complexes and display a mixed cystic-papillary phenotype (J:52757)
• 29% of mice develop malignant pancreatic tumors with a mean tumor-free survival of 410 days (J:67389)
• some mice show large cystic changes in the pancreas
• an increase in interlobular fibroblast population is seen as early as P14 which progresses to massive fibrosis with extensive extracellular matrix accumulation at P180
• in older mice, acinar cells change to duct-like cells, which form tubular structures and express ductal markers

neoplasm
• 4 of 21 mice develop malignant pancreatic tumors which are multicentric and originate from dysplastic tubular complexes and display a mixed cystic-papillary phenotype (J:52757)
• 29% of mice develop malignant pancreatic tumors with a mean tumor-free survival of 410 days (J:67389)

digestive/alimentary system
• decrease in acinar cell height starting at P14

growth/size/body
• some mice show large cystic changes in the pancreas
