Enlargement of lysosomes in the kidney-proximal tubule cells of Lgmntm1Ihn/Lgmntm1Ihn mice

• observed after 20 weeks of age, with mean weights of 50-week old mutants about 80% of those of controls
• initial weight gain is similar to controls, however 20 weeks after weaning, weight increase begins to stagnate and by 50 weeks, mutants weight is about 80% of controls
