cellular
• embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) infected with adenovirus expressing Cre recombinase (AdCre) show a marked decrease in the number of cells in S phase compared to controls
• when aphidicolin is used to arrest AdCre infected MEFs at the G1-S boundary and then the cells are released from the block, entry of cells into S phase is decreased (4% of cells) compared to controls (40% of cells)
• MEFs infected with AdCre undergo increased apoptosis compared to control MEFs
• MEFs from E13.5 embryos infected with adenovirus expressing Cre recombinase (AdCre) exhibit a decrease in growth rate in culture
