N normal phenotype
cellular
• cases of moderate to severe defects in spermatogenesis resulted in azoospermia

endocrine/exocrine glands
• reduced nipple size in females
• however, mammary glands were apparently normal
• testis weight severely reduced at 12 weeks of age

hematopoietic system
N
• hematological, blood clotting and biochemical parameters were all normal in the F2 generation

reproductive system
• defects varied from mild to severe in younger F2 males
• apoptosis in stage 12 meiotic cells during spermatogenesis
• 7 month old F2 males and all F3 males showed no abnormalities in spermatogenesis
• cases of moderate to severe defects in spermatogenesis resulted in azoospermia
• testis weight severely reduced at 12 weeks of age
• epididymis weight slightly reduced
• F2 and F3 females mated to wild-type males were fertile with normal sized litters and normal gestation periods although delivery problems occasionally occured
• only 1 in 3 F1 females gave birth to live pups
• only 1 in 3 F1 females gave birth to live pups
• all pups dead by 48 hours with no milk in their stomachs, unable to nurse due to maternal nipple defects
• 33% pregnancy rate when 11 week F2 males mated to wild-type females
• 65% pregnancy rate when 4.5-7 month F2 males or any later generation adult males were mated to wild-type females

integument
• reduced nipple size in females
• however, mammary glands were apparently normal
