• all pups dead by 48 hours with no milk in their stomachs, unable to nurse due to maternal nipple defects

• 33% pregnancy rate when 11 week F2 males mated to wild-type females
• 65% pregnancy rate when 4.5-7 month F2 males or any later generation adult males were mated to wild-type females
