• the endocardial cushions are smaller than normal in both the atrioventricular canal and the outflow tract
• septation is delayed by about 0.5 days
• the aorta is positioned to the right of the pulmonary trunk and not aligned normally with the left ventricle at E12.5
• at E9.5 and E10.5 the atrioventricular canal fails to constrict in some mutant embryos
• the endocardial cushions are smaller than normal in both the atrioventricular canal and the outflow tract
• at E9.5 the ventricle is enlarged or dilated in some mutant embryos
• pericardial edema is seen at E10.5
