• treatment with diethylnitrosamine results in enhanced tumorigenesis (hepatic adenomas and carcinomas) in the liver compared to wild-type

• hepatocytes isolated from 15 day old, but not 9 month old, mutants are slightly less sensitive to the growth-inhibitory effect of Tgfb compared to wild-type
