homeostasis/metabolism
• liver AdoMet levels are increased (69.0+/-0.2uM compared to 38.0+/-4.3uM in wild-type)
• AdoHcy levels are increased in the heart (2.0+/-0.3 compared to 0.9+/-0.2 in wild-type) and in the liver in one trial but not another
• the AdoMet/AdoHcy ratio is increased in the liver (2.2+/-0.2 compared to 0.8+/-0.2 in wild-type) but decreased in the heart (18.4+/-1.4 compared to 46.9+/-7.2 in wild-type)

homeostasis/metabolism
• liver AdoMet levels are increased (64.1+/-6.43nmol/g compared to 45.9+/-4.53nmol/g in wild-type)
• liver AdoHcy levels are reduced (30.7+/-4.73nmol/g compared to 60.6+/-8.3nmol/g in wild-type)
• the AdoMet/AdoHcy ratio is increased in the liver (2.9+/-0.6 compared to 0.9+/-0.2 in wild-type)
• plasma homocysteine levels are increased (18.4+/-5.5uM compared to 4.6+/-0.8uM in wild-type)
• hyperhomocysteinemia similar to that seen in Mthfrtm1Rzn homozygotes
• plasma methionine levels are reduced (40.4+/-6.6uM compared to 59.4+/-7.4uM in wild-type)

growth/size/body
• by 7 weeks, male mice (weighing on average 25.1g) are 10% smaller than wild-type (weighing 28.0g)
• however, female weight is normal
